My friends across the pond at Conditions Apply know me all too well — they are constantly outfitting me in the brightest, boldest prints because I’m on a mission to paint the world rainbow, one outfit at a time! When I received this knit maxi dress my jaw dropped. I truly own nothing like this dress! The silhouette is extremely flattering — the stripes help to elongate (standing tall at 5’2, I need any height boost I can get!) but also hug your body in the most flattering areas.

I love dresses that I can slip into and run errands in that still feel elevated. I reference these outfits as my “market looks” — I still want to look presentable when bopping down to the market, but I also want to be comfortable. I like to pair a statement piece like this with neutral accessories that are practical — a floppy straw sun hat and a market tote tend to be my go-to’s when I’m on the go during the weekend.

The vibrant color pops in this dress are also a big win/win for me. In fact, I’d been waiting for the opportune moment to bring out my Zara square toe neon green heels and with this dress, its a no-brainer. They compliment the green in my dress perfectly.

What are your favorite transitional pieces that make a statement?
