My visit to Purpose Boutique at Point Ruston

Cheers, to the almost weekend! We are halfway through the week and to celebrate that and the fact the new Purpose Boutique has opened its doors at Point Ruston in Tacoma, I'm sharing a full recap of my visit to the new store earlier this month.

My best friend Lauren and I made the trek to Tacoma's Point Ruston, a new shopping center with boutiques, food, beverages and a weekend market. Having grown up in Gig Harbor, just across the bridge, I was shocked by how much Point Ruston has developed over the years! It's such a fun spot to hangout at, shop and grab an ice cream cone or beverage. I'll definitely be back for all of that fun, but let's get to the super fun part: shopping. Lauren and I were invited to Purpose Boutique's new store for a personalized styling session with Purpose stylist Gia, she was such a delight to work with during our visit! Upon arrival, we were greeted with La Croix and had the chance to look through the merchandise in the store. Their new Point Ruston location is beautiful, open and airy with plenty of room to sit, shop and relax.

To provide a little background on Purpose Boutique, the first boutique was founded by owner Christie in Bremerton with intentions to spread awareness and empower disadvantaged people with support and provide them with work producing accessories and clothing that is affordable, stylish and created by survivors of injustice. There are several jewelry lines within Purpose that Gia introduced me to during my visit whose proceeds help victims of human trafficking. I was so touched to learn about the various brands Purpose features in store and how they do their part to give back as a company all while encouraging their customers to do the same.

Gia assigned Lauren and I are own dressing rooms and pulled clothing throughout the store she thought would be a fit to our personal style aesthetic. I was looking for more outfits I could wear to work and layer up for fall and Lauren was seeking out more comfortable clothing to wear while she is in nursing school. Gia did an excellent job narrowing down our choices and finding items that were complimentary to our size, style and budget.

I couldn't resist a selfie from the dressing room in the midst of trying on all of my fun looks! From dresses, jeans, boots, skirts, jackets and tops - it was hard to pick what I wanted from my styling session.  Although, I'll be sharing specifics of the pieces I got from my styling session in upcoming blog posts, I will say this. I did come away with a new white blouse, corduroy dress, pair of Toms' booties, a distressed denim jacket and embroidered top. All perfect items for fall that I've been having so much fun styling! More to come soon. Want to experience a Purpose Boutique styling session for yourself? Purpose Boutique has four locations for you to visit: Tacoma, Silverdale, Bremerton and Kirkland, I highly recommend making a trip and signing up for a style appointment before you arrive. It's a great way to become more aquatinted with the brand, mission and products.

Thank you to Purpose Boutique for collaborating on this blog post and for inviting us to your new location for a styling session! All thoughts and opinions expressed on West Coast Aesthetic are my own and every collaboration is done with absolute integrity.
