Beach day style
On a sunny northwest day you can most definitely find me by the water. It's my favorite place to be soaking in some rays! I think it's safe to say with the warm weather lately I've been integrating more summer-inspired patterns into my wardrobe, especially anything with palms on it.
When I spotted this Forever21 palm dress with the tie up tassels in the back, I couldn't say no. I love the vibrant pattern mixed with the pastel colors. It's the perfect summer dress and I adore the more casual fit. The dress does have a lower v-neck shape in the front and a deeper exposed v-shape in the back, so I'd recommend a stylish bandeau or bralette since it will be visible when wearing this dress. I am wearing my pastel pink bralette from a boutique in Sausalito called 2Bella. I love having a lace-covered bralette as an option for summer outfits like this because they still look stylish when exposed and honestly, they really help tie in the look.
I'm once again sporting my Beta Babe Necklace I received as part of my jewelry collaboration with 7 Charming Sisters. I loved wearing this statement necklace with this outfit because the colors tie in so nicely together -- bringing out the pastels of the dress and introducing some metallic and neon hues.
As mentioned in my previous post, 7 Charming Sisters is unique in that you purchase your jewelry by selecting styles that are personalized for you. You can do this by taking a "sister quiz" on their website that will help you determine what types of jewelry suit your personality and style. It's a great way to find styles that are more suited for the type of outfits you wear!
When it came to pairing a shoe with this look, I knew I wanted to go with my metallic oxfords from Zara. I wanted to bring out the metallics in my statement necklace and really dress my outfit up more than a pair of sandals would be able to do. These shoes are so versatile and comfortable for any occasion that I don't even mind wearing them on a beach day since they are so easy to slip on and off.
