Straightaway - Cocktails for every day

When it comes to libations, I prefer simplicity. I want a cocktail that is straight forward and straight up delicious. Insert: Straightaway. I was first introduced to Straightaway when I attended a blog event at The Bravern in Bellevue for fashion week. I was initially drawn to the packaging: bold colors and punchy graphics making my art director heart swoon. And then I took a sip, and another, and proceeded to ask, “What is your secret? What did you add?” The answer: nada. That’s right, open, pour and sip is Straightaway’s mantra for a reason. It’s that simple. Each cocktail is ready to enjoy upon opening — no need for bar tools or an elaborate setup or recipe. Needless to say, hosting Bachelor night, girls nights, entertaining in our home and date nights just got so much easier when we’re concocting beverages from our bar cart.
Straightaway is fairly new to the game (just over a year old) but they’ve already won several best in class awards for their ready-to-drink cocktails that come in three unique sizes: an adorable single serving size, a bottle containing 3 servings and the full-size bottle (holding 12 cocktails).
I was able to try out both The Cosmos and Lintik and I’m still trying to determine which one is my favorite. The Cosmos is my go-to cocktail: vodka aged with lime, lemon and orange, house-made cranberry liqeur. Not too sweet, not too sour, just right. Also, the color will make you want to break out your favorite glassware. Needless to say, I opted for pink glassware to compliment.
Lintik was a whole different kind of beverage consisting of my favorite alcohol: gin. It’s a gin aged cocktail with lemon, house-made simple syrup and bitters. Perfect for any time of the year but I definitely plan to have this on repeat in the summer.
Straightaway cocktails are ready to enjoy the minute you unscrew the lid. However, that didn’t mean I could resist decorating my beverages with some dried florals for accent.
