Style: Embracing bold

Walkin' into my Monday like...bring on the ruffles and color red! There's really no better way to start off a week than by making a stylish statement. Personally, I love mixing bold pieces together to create a full look - whether it's bold colors, patterns or textures, the sky's the limit!
Let's talk ruffles!
I received this Ruffle Button Poplin Shirt which is Socialite Clothing brand sold at Nordstrom Rack! This top comes in black, white and red depending on your preference. Personally, I want one in each color because it's so much fun to wear in different outfits! The shirt has front ruffle detailing that goes up to the shoulder and down to the base of the shirt creating an overall dramatic look and feel. It's a unique take on your classic button down but the bold details make this top a must to own!
Let's talk pants!
I decided to pair my statement top with my striped black and white pants from Zara with the front tie at the waist and the looser fit. These pants are my go-to when I want to introduce a pattern into my outfit. Bold colored tops tend to compliment the style of these pants and I often go for a tucked in style to show off the front tie. They hit just above the ankles to it gives me ample opportunity to wear just about any shoe imaginable.
Accessories? Yes please.
My shoe of choice for this outfit are my brand new Sol Sana black booties! These Ajax booties are seriously my dream boots of the year (currently sold online in the Stone color). These leather booties fit like a dream and the 4" block heel helps give you that added support and height. I wear these booties with everything! The pointed toe and subtle studded/metallic detailing on the front base of the shoe is also a huge win in my book!
When it came to additional accessorizing, my motto for bold outfits is to just embrace it. I'm wearing my go-to statement necklace from Nordstrom. The layered necklace fits perfectly at the neck of my blouse and provides some visual sparkle. This outfit also called for my new red clutch I scored at the Amazon sale! It's an excellent alternative to a large bag when I'm on the go and is complimentary to an outfit of this color palette and style.
Embrace your bold.
2018 is the year I'm working on embracing new colors, styles and statement pieces that will inspire and pull me out of my style comfort zone. It's the year I encourage you to also EMBRACE YOUR BOLD!
