Holiday Outfit: Two-piece

In my second Holiday Outfit segment (just in case you missed the first look, you can find it here) I'm sharing yet another way you can style a holiday look! We're on the two-week countdown to Christmas and with all the holiday parties and events on the calendar, having a holiday outfit in your back pocket is a must.
This outfit is one of my favorites for the holidays because it's a bit of a fun mystery to wear - Is it a dress? Is it a skirt? Is it a two-piece? If you guessed two-piece, you are correct! I love this festive, two-piece set from The Room by Ark & Co. I spotted the skirt first but once I saw the matching top I was even more smitten! The deep, wine red color and lace detailing are a perfect combination when dressing for the holidays. This skirt is such a versatile length for occasions! I've dressed this skirt down by pairing it with a graphic tee or turtleneck which instantly makes this skirt just as stylish and fun to wear for a day or work look. I've even worn this lace top over a a pair of jeans and with my black leather jacket. It's that easy! When I pair these two pieces together, it's harmonious.
My favorite way to style these pieces when worn together is with a simple pair of heels (I opt for my black studded Nordstrom Halogen heels because they go with the black lace of the top and skirt) and a statement necklace! I love to go bold when my outfit leans more monochromatic. Not to mention, jewels are often the main staple I recommend for holiday outfits because they help transform your outfit from casual to glam. When it comes to holiday outfits and jewelry, I'm an advocate for go big or go home! These earrings are the perfect balance of size (dainty yet bold) and sparkle and are versatile enough to wear from day to evening! I love the peek-a-boo effect they have behind the ear lobe with the pear shaped crystals.
Two-piece sets are a great solution when shopping for a holiday outfit because you have the option to create so many more outfits when you choose to wear the pieces separately or together.
