I survived the Zara summer sale a few weeks ago, did you? Well, I came out alive and with a little less money in my checking account but that's okay - sometimes you have to treat yourself. Especially when there's a sale full of amazing finds! This ruffled off the shoulder top just happened to be one of my findings! To be completely honest, when I first tried on this top I felt a bit like Jerry Seinfeld in the pirate shirt episode but after wearing it a few more times it grew on me. Ruffles are a huge trend this summer and I forecast they'll even make their way into fall. Aside from ruffles, this top also embraces an off the shoulder and bell sleeves. It really does have it all! I also love the black trim accents to give it some added detail.

Ruffles usually call for a more dressed up look but I decided to dress my ruffles down to make this overall outfit a little more on the casual/everyday-side. These STS Blue Harper Crop Skinnies are my favorite pair of denim of the moment. A bit lighter in wash and more on the distressed side. They hit right above my ankle with some raw hem detail and fit like a glove! I get compliments every single time I wear them!

My Pour La Victorie Lakess Leather Sandals are such a fun pair of summer slides to wear with an outfit. Comfortable, stylish (I seriously can't get enough of tassels!) and they come in a beautiful sangria color. Slides are my go-to shoe when I'm on the go this summer because they are effortless to put on and move about! They also look fabulous when paired with a summer dress.

Tying in the pop of maroon in my look is easy with this Coach saddlebag on hand. This handbag is the perfect size to fit all of my daily necessities but isn't bulky like a large tote or backpack can be. Also, can we talk about the color? This rich wine color not only matches my slides but is such a fun color to wear all year round especially in the summer and fall!

In the summer, I'm constantly on the go when I'm not at work meeting up with friends for happy hour, getting together with freelance clients and running errands. This outfit is appropriate for virtually any occasion with a balance of comfort in my distressed denim and a punch of elevated style thanks to the ruffles!
