Winc for wine lovers

Happy Wine Wednesday! While every day after work often results in a glass of wine for me, Wine Wednesdays just has a better ring to it.

I've been a wine lover for years from $5 bottles and bags of wine in college to testing out my palate in Sonoma and Napa Valley, over the last two years I've been trying to expand my palate and become more knowledgable about what type of wine I'm consuming. When I was introduced to Winc earlier this year thanks to DesignLoveFest for her beautiful wine collaboration, I found Winc to be the perfect way to get exposed to wine and all of the options out there!

Winc is a wine delivery service (straight to your doorstep) that connects customers to wine around the world tailored to your tastes. To become a member, you first take a Palete Profile online test to help Winc assess your taste preferences. Next, Winc will send you bottles of wine a month based on your specific palate. The prices per bottle are extremely reasonable -- we're talking bottles around $13. To become a member, it's free and you can cancel your membership at any time. Four bottles or more a month = free shipping -- talk about a steal!

I'm currently setup to receive two reds and two whites each month but that can vary depending on the time of year and what I want to try out. As a designer, I'm constantly drawn to wine with beautiful package design (sorry not sorry) so my first time order was mainly label design driven.

My selections for the month:

Summer Water (I've been dying to try this rosΓ©!) Courtesy of the California Coast that's perfect for our transition to summer and nights out on my patio. A crisp, light and dry wine with notes of strawberry, grapefruit and white peach. Drink it in chilled wine glasses and you're set for summer sipping!

Chop Shop I've been on such a Cabernet Sauvignon kick lately it's right up my alley (also, package design is on point). Courtesy of Redwood Valley with notes of cedar and earth giving this wine more depth and a smooth finish.

To Be Honest A red blend from Paso Robles, California. If you're slowly but surely trying to get into red wine, I highly recommend a red blend to get your palate used to the taste. This wine is more on the dry side but has an array of aromas of strawberry, candy, black cherry and pomegranate.

#TBT I told you I was a Cali girl at heart. This label spoke to me but a white blend typically is a solid choice for me on sunny days. A tropical blend of flavors makes for the best wine in the summer.

Winc can be a great resource to purchase wine in bulk for parties or you can gift a wine box with additional goodies to the loved ones in your life. I love that I get to gain knowledgable about new wines from around the world for a reasonable price on a monthly basis.
