My favorite Seattle happy hours
If there's one thing you need to know about me, it's that I'll never pass up a good happy hour. Since I've been in Seattle for a year I've had so much fun exploring my local neighborhoods and finding places that have become my favorite go-to's for meeting up with friends or enjoying a date night all for a great price for food and drinks! Here are some of my favorite spots:
Location: Ballard
Happy Hour: 4-6pm daily, all day happy hour drink specials on Monday's
Favorite Drink: The Awakened One
Favorite Food: Popcorn with Chili Butter & Cajun Spices
Pro Tip: try and snag a seat out on the outdoor patio, it's covered and has a garage door, perfect for the summer!
Location: Downtown + with the best styled interior only designers could dream of.
Happy Hour: 4-7pm (you can't beat a happy hour that goes later than 6pm!)
Favorite Drink: Any of their white wines or rosés
Favorite Food: The cheesemonger board
Pro Tip: If you want the best grilled cheese sandwich of your life get their grilled cheese + avocado on freshly cut sourdough, it's to die for.
Location: Ballard
Happy Hour: Monday through Thursday 4-6pm
Favorite Drink: Purple Rain (tequila, hibiscus, lime, pineapple, batavia-arrack)
Favorite Food: If you come here you have to get an assortment of oysters (I typically have the waiter select a few different types), it's a must. My go-to is the beet borani with feta, pumpkins seeds and flatbread for something light but delicious.
Pro Tip: This place is a popular spot and seating fills up fast! Try and get there right when happy hour starts to guarantee yourself a spot.
Location: Fremont
Happy Hour: Everyday 4-7pm; 9-11pm on Monday through Thursdays
Favorite Drink: Moscow Mule or Mint Julep
Favorite Food: Lamb sliders and Popcorn Shrimp
Pro Tip: If you're a whiskey drinker, this place is for you! It has a great outdoor seating area with string lights -- a perfect summer spot and perfect for people-watching.
Oliver's Twist
Location: Magnolia (they also have one in Greenwood, but I personally like the smaller Magnolia location better because it is more intimate and has better overall interior decor)
Happy Hour: Tuesday through Thursdays 5-7pm
Favorite Drink: Moscow Mule and Giles (vodka, blood orange, elderflower, bubbly and served up)
Favorite Food: Bread salad (cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, arugula, taggiasca olives, pinenuts, pesto)
Pro Tip: If you're visiting the Mangolia location get there right when happy hour starts, this spot is small so get there early to get a seat!
Location: Ballard
Happy Hour: Monday-Friday from 12pm to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 3pm-6pm
Favorite Drink: Limoncello Rosemary Drop
Favorite Food: Lamb meatballs
Pro Tip: All of the food here is delicious and filling! If you want to try a bunch of different things split several of the food items with whoever you are dining with.
