Pop of Color: Sporty

When it is winter in the Pacific Northwest it can be difficult to figure out how to wear bold and bright colors without it looking too much like spring or summer. I am very excited to share this collaboration series titled POP OF COLOR with my dear and talented friend and Seattle-based photographer Kamrin Dishman of KNDM Co. Photo. Her work is amazing and so is collaborating with her; so blessed to have had this opportunity to work with her on this style shoot.

This series is meant to inspire and express how I accessorize with subtle yet bold pops of color with some of my favorite winter wardrobe pieces that I just simply can't get enough of lately and tend to be great for matching with color because they are rather monochromatic (my favorite!)

The first of this series features my new favorite color to wear all year long with just about any outfit: coral red. My favorite way to rock this color is in the form of accessories matched with grey, black and white.

In this first look I wanted to show off a sporty vibe / casual weekend outfit that can be kicked up a notch when paired with bold and bright colored accessories. This outfit is typical weekend wear for me; so comfortable (these Nike knit shoes are like walking on air) but also more on the dressed up side from weekend yoga pants and a sweatshirt. Paired with this bold necklace that adds some shine and matches the pop of color in my color blocked French Connection cross body bag, this is one of my favorite weekend day looks.
