I have all of the coastal/beach vibes influencing my wardrobe lately. Maybe it's the fact that less than a month from now I'll be in North and South Carolina for a work trip! I'm so excited to experience white sand beaches and soak in the sights (I'm looking forward to Rainbow Row, the pastel colored houses in Charleston, South Carolina the most!) As a result, I'm already thinking about what outfits I need to pack!
My recent collaboration with A Mere Co. a London-based womenswear label, inspired me to embrace all the coastal vibes and fall in love with items that have such incredible attention to detail! A Mere Co. emulates summertime feel-good in the best way -- the resortwear is extremely feminine, flattering and comes in array of dreamy colors that's perfect "for the city girl with a summertime spirit,"...yep, that's me, the girl that lives for sunshine.
I selected the pleat linen shorts in a bright and colorful starfish pattern. They are high rise and extremely breathable! I love shorts with a looser fit because they tend to be easier to dress up or down. These shorts look fabulous with an off the shoulder top, tank top or bikini. They are so versatile! I also can't get over the fun pattern. My shorts were a little on the larger side (I'd recommend an XS if you typically wear a S) but after a couple of washes they fit so much better at the waist! I ended up pairing mine with the A Mere Co. Ruffle Top with Lace Mesh (currently sold out online) that's a statement piece all on its own. Also made out of linen, this top is chic and ready for every occasion under the rainbow: perfect for a night out, day of exploring or soaking up the Carolina sunshine. The top has a ruffle at the neckline, bright blue stitched detailing throughout and let's not forget about the lace mesh tie detailing in the back making it a one-of-a-kind top. Perfect for layering with distressed jeans or a high-waisted pair of shorts (like the ones I'm wearing!), this top might be my new favorite for summer. Both of these items are high-quality and well-considered designs that make the price tags worth it.
The rest of the A Mere Co. summer line is full of classic, feminine silhouettes with a coastal and effortless spin, fresh color palette, standout detailing and killer patterns. Cover-ups? You got it. Dresses? You name it. Jumpsuits? Yep. Tops? Duh. Bottoms? Plenty. Summer, I'm ready for you and so is my wardrobe. I have a feel this summer is going to be just beachy.
