The can’t-miss staycation at W Bellevue

Recently, Tristan and I had the opportunity to indulge in a weekend staycation. We’ve both had a busy summer of traveling, work and weddings so having a weekend with some downtime felt rare and amazing. We wanted to soak up every minute of it! And boy, did we. Thanks to W Bellevue we were treated to a weekend away on the east side to dine, relax and soak up the sights from this stunning local hotel that is perfectly situated in the midst of all the action in Bellevue with shopping, restaurants, galleries and parks.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the most accommodating and kind staff at valet and at check-in. The minute you walk into the hotel you’re immersed into the colorful and urban vibe of this inner-city hotel. And wow! Did I love it. I’ve never seen a hotel with more murals in every corner, wall and stairwell. Talk about the perfect, Instagrammable setting.

Once we checked into our room we were greeted with bubbles and a crate of local treats – it was such a special and thoughtful touch as we got settled in. Our room was so spacious supplied with a modern shower in the middle of the room, a large King bed, TV, closet, adorable wallpaper bathroom and a cozy bench that looked out over a killer city view. I find it hard to believe there’s a bad room at the W Bellevue.

After we were settled in and enjoyed some Prosecco, we ventured downstairs to check out the hotel bar and lounge called The Living Room – talk about another dreamy spot to photograph! The architecture and thoughtful interior design throughout the space had me swooning. We snagged drinks and a few light bites before dinner and were able to sit outside on the bar’s porch – this chill-zone is also spacious with plenty of seating options, an outdoor fireplace and a pool table and fireplace inside. Most nights, a DJ spins beats for those lounging at the bar. The W is always renowned for their evening entertainment that tends to drawn in a younger crowd -- it’s the perfect place if you’re seeking a night out.

After drinks we walked over to Purple Café & Wine Bar (a personal favorite) for dinner. I love that everything is so easy to walk to from the hotel! I should also mention Bellevue Square, a Soul Cycle and endless food options are within strolling distance from the W. We were tuckered out and full after dinner so back to the room we went to chill for the rest of the evening.

The next morning, we had reservations at the hotel’s restaurant The Lakehouse, it’s a must to go to for brunch! The vibe was too cool – hanging greenery, floral wallpaper accents walls made it yet another spot that is totally ‘gram worthy. I should also mention, we loved the food! I snagged the Belgian waffle and Tristan got the egg breakfast. Both were delish! Before checkout and to walk off our brunch, we decided to meander through the hotel to check out the murals close-up for photos and chill in the ‘library’. There were so many amazing “chill” spots in the hotel where you can hide away to work or relax.

Our weekend at W Bellevue was one for the books – easy, aesthetically-pleasing, fun and relaxing. Just what we needed after a busy summer! I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the area seeking out the ideal staycation or to those visiting the Pacific Northwest. We can’t begin to thank W Bellevue enough for having us and treating us to the perfect weekend away.
