Dressing for fall with Legato

It’s officially my favorite time of year: fall! Who else is completely and utterly obsessed with the season of all things cozy and pumpkin-related? Not to mention, fall fashion in the Pacific Northwest is just the best — bring on fun layers, statement pieces in the form of accessories or patterns and a whole new fall color palette to embrace! I also love the month of October in Seattle because the weather feels brisk but the sun is still out and we aren’t combatting rain (yet).

One thing I’m trying to get better at when it comes to my wardrobe is rotating out my seasonal pieces by saying “bye” to summer clothes by packing them up and putting them in another section of my closet or in boxes to access at a later date. That way, I’m taking full advantage of wearing the items for each season that are either part of my capsule wardrobe or those that lean more trendy.

In the fall, I like to combine trendy pieces with basics and luckily, with the help of my latest collaboration with Legato I am able to do just that! The best part about shopping Legato pieces? They are affordable! I was able to outfit a full fall look for under $100! As I mentioned, I can’t get enough of patterns and embracing a new color palette in the fall months, so when I spotted these SOULS ON FIRE PLAID CAPRI PANTS I was swooning! These pants are extremely comfortable and versatile to wear this fall with their classic plaid print. I have worn them with a variety of turtlenecks, sweaters, cardigans — the options are truly endless!

I decided to pair my pants with the LEAN ON ME SWEATER in ivory. The style is off the shoulder and a bit more cropped so they pair well with high-waisted pants. The fringe detailing is also a stylish accent worth rocking this fall.

When I mix and match fall basics with a trendy piece like this sweater, I love to compliment my look with accessories. This pair of gold CIRCLE BAR EARRINGS are stunners and the perfect statement piece for fall. I am obsessed with all things gold in the form of jewelry so when I spotted these 70’s-inspired earrings, I knew it was meant to be. If you’re not a gold girl don’t worry, they have a silver pair, too!

This fall, I plan on doing the following:

1) Embracing more basics

2) Investing in trends I love that I anticipate going the distance

3) Prioritizing a seasonal wardrobe on a budget

What are your tactics for maintaining a seasonal wardrobe with pieces you love?
